  • A copy of the lease agreement if the property is leased or a copy of the property documents if it is owned by the applicant.
  • After that, submit Forum-A to the Food and Safety Department. This should be duly signed by all the directors / partners / members of the society
  • The fact will be informed to the applicant as the application has been rejected by the department within 7 days.
  • If the department is satisfied with the application, the department will provide the certificate and registration number
  • This certificate will then be displayed by the business administrator at its registration office during business hours.

  • Forms A and B are duly filled and signed by the Director / Partners / Members of the Society
  • Contact details of members / partners / directors and full address list.
  • Layout plan / blueprint of the processing unit showing the allocation and dimensions of the operation wise area.
  • Name and list of machinery used
  • Copy of MOA and AOA or partnership deed.
  • Declaration on food and safe management system
  • Proof of income of the food business operator determines its turnover.
  • Self-declaration by the director
  • NOC from local authority
  • Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
  • Nomination of a person appointed by the company in Form.IX

Amendments on FSSAI registration

Food regulator FSSAI has proposed amendments to the import rules that make registration and audit mandatory for foreign food production facilities, which export certain types of products to India.

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) will periodically mention food product categories based on risk.

The FSSAI has got public comments on its draft rules, the Food Safety and Standards (Import) Amendment Rules, 2020. It wants to improve the 2017 import rules.
